Cross-Cultural Business Fellowship for 2020 – 2021 (Uganda)

This Fellowship will help prepare you to launch, run, and scale a company that will have an impact on individual lives and whole communities. Come work with us for a year in a real, profitable, cross-cultural business. Fellowship includes standardized teaching and reading programs along with customized coaching to reinforce your strengths and shore up weaknesses. The Fellowship also includes a guided creation of a business concept along with coaching and assistance in preparation for securing funding.

Program Intern

Program Intern (Washington, DC)

The Market Project seeks summer 2020 intern candidates to assist with research on economic development, trauma-informed workplaces, legal enabling environments for business, or impact evaluations. Interns are required to be in a program that grants academic credit for the experience.

Research Assistant

The Market Project seeks candidates with research and strong writing skills. Position is open to professionals who are seeking meaningful volunteer service opportunities.

Field Work

The Market Project seeks individuals who are eager to apply their extensive business, management or marketing experience to challenging new or expanding enterprises. These opportunities range from 3 months in new locations to 2 years in locations where The Market Project has a project underway.

Social Entrepreneur Volunteer (Uganda)

Nguvu Dairy is ready to expand production further and launch new distribution sites. A variety of business-related skillsets would be applicable to the growing business.

Business Facilitator (Chernihiv, Ukraine)

The Market Project seeks an individual with extensive business experience to undertake the start-up of a social enterprise in Ukraine. The successful candidate will have understanding of all aspects of business operations and experience managing a growing business. Preferably, the Business Facilitator will have formal business training as well as experience training others in vocational skills development. This full-time, compensated position requires fluency in both Ukrainian and English.
