Internships

The Market Project is currently accepting applications for internships & fellowships. We seek candidates to assist with research on economic development, trauma-informed workplaces, or legal enabling environments for business. Opportunities may vary depending on The Market Project’s current needs and the candidates’ experiences and skillset.

Summary

The Market Project seeks summer intern candidates to assist with research on economic development, trauma-informed workplaces, legal enabling environments for business, impact evaluations, business development or social media.

Special Requirements

Interns are required to be in a program that grants academic credit for the experience.

Research Assistant

Field Work

The Market Project seeks individuals who are eager to apply their extensive business, management or marketing experience to challenging new or expanding enterprises. These opportunities range from 3 months in new locations to 2 years in locations where The Market Project has a project underway.

Social Entrepreneur Volunteer

Cross-Cultural Business Fellowship

Location: Uganda

Duration: 1 Year

Summary

This Fellowship will help prepare you to launch, run, and scale a company that will have an impact on individual lives and whole communities. Come work with us for a year in a real, profitable, cross-cultural business.

Fellowship Includes:

Standardized teaching and reading programs
Customized coaching to reinforce your strengths and shore up weaknesses
A guided creation of a business concept

Business Facilitator

Location: Chernihiv, Ukraine

Duration: 3 Months

Summary

The Market Project seeks an individual with extensive business experience to undertake the start-up of a social enterprise in Ukraine. The successful candidate will have understanding of all aspects of business operations and experience managing a growing business. Preferably, the Business Facilitator will have formal business training as well as experience training others in vocational skills development.

Special Requirements

This full-time, compensated position requires fluency in both Ukrainian and English.
